The ignorance of the intellectually arrogant

Here's a Doonesbury cartoon which is supposedly devastating to Creationism.

It's actually devastating evidence that neither Gary Trudeau nor the author of the blog on which the cartoon appears is particularly familiar with Creationism- which does not, of course, deny that organisms evolve. It just denies that they turn into entirely different species. And the confusion of secularists over the relationship between Creationism and Intelligent Design is, of course, proverbial among folks who actually know the difference.

The biblical and theological ignorance of the culturally aggressive materialists and secularists in our culture is staggering- and their arrogance seems to be in direct proportion to their ignorance. And the fascinating thing about it is that they don't even seem to realize what fools they regularly make of themselves when they try to be clever about these subjects!
