Somali pirates pose a grave threat to Britain.

The Brits are afraid that if they're captured by the Royal Navy, they may get away with claiming asylum and getting themselves put on the dole.

Note, however, that the descendents of Nelson still frown on piracy. In fact, England is currently engaged in a fierce war against those who fly the Jolly Roger- but only in suburban back yards and the like.
