Mitt Romney has taken the lead in the Real Clear Politics average of the polls.
The
Rasmussen has Romney up by two points in the swing states. The RCP swing state average has Romney ahead in Florida, North Carolina and Colorado, and Obama ahead in Virginia, Ohio, and Iowa. But the margins in all except Iowa and North Carolina are less than one percentage point.
The trend is definately toward Romney with 27 days left in the election. But with two more presidential debates, a vice-presidential debate, and the final employment numbers coming out between now in November 7, anything can happen.
At the moment, it looks like it's going to be very, very close.
