The confession of a hero
Early last year, courageous Kenyan Bishop Walter Obare consecrated a Church of Sweden priest, the Rev. Arne Olsson, to serve as a bishop for those members of the nominally Lutheran (and increasingly pagan) state Church of Sweden who desired to remain faithful to the teachings of the Scriptures, the Lutheran Confessions, and the historic Christian faith. His statement on that occasion can be found here.
Later the same month, Bp. Obare was dismissed from his position as an advisor to the Council of the "Lutheran" World Federation for this "inappropriate" display of compassion and pastoral faithfulness in the face of apostasy.
Here is that brave and faithful confessor's defense before the LWF Council.
