Sunday update

Charlie Liu, aka Bobby Fletcher, aka Sunday service in Xinzheng- the dude who has posted often identically-worded comments at literally hundreds of blogs all over the internet defending the Chinese regime that has murdered seventy seven miliion of its own people from charges that it may have killed some of them at Sujiatun (thereby raising questions about what his day job is- or whether it's his day job to do precisely that) has actually joined the Lutheran Bloggers Google group in order to deny that he ever claimed to be a Christian in his carefully worded posts under a Blogger handle designed to imply exactly that in extolling religious freedom in China!

This is the guy who chose the name "Sunday service in Xinzheng" to "give his testimony" to religious freedom in China on the basis of his attendence at a state-sponsored and controled church in China!

Charlie/Bobby/Sunday- in his new incarnation as a non-Christian Lutheran blogger- went out of his way to once again present, in pretty much the same words as usual, those same initial impressions of a Congressional committee investigating the carefully-guarded secrets of a totalitarian police state after it barely even started its investigation of the accusations of a death camp at Sujiatun as somehow significant But it should be admitted that Charlie/Bobby/Sunday does have what- at least at face value- is a weighty argument this time.

The State Department has issued a categorical denial that the Sujiatun facility is being used for that purpose, citing two seperate inspections of the facility by its personnel. This, however, weeks after Chinese dissidents warned that the camp had been evacuated and its inmates sent to scattered locations throughout China in order to prepare for just such an inspection.

But even if the State Department finding were taken at face value, the embarassing question Charlie/Bobby/Sunday refuses to face remains: how should that change our opinion of a regime which admits to selling the organs of executed "criminals" for the prophet of the State had has murdered more people than any in recorded history- whether or not these activities are taking place specifically at Sujiatun?

And there are three other questions Charlie/Bobby/Sunday's activities themselves raise: first, precisely what is the motivation of a man who would spend enough time and effort to track the entire Internet for references to Sunjiatun and to post on pretty much every blog that has even mentioned the story- that is, when he's not trying to sell us on self-evident lies like the notion that there was no Tiananmen massacre, and that religious freedom exists in China? Why that latter, especially when his case includes a spirited defense of laws specifically and severely restricting religious freedom?

Secondly, how stupid does he think we are? And finally, when does he have time for his day job?

The pattern is suspicious, to say the least. Maybe Charlie is merely an obsessed admirer of totalitarians and mass murderers. But the question of his motivation is certainly an interesting one.

While I closed comments on this blog to Charlie/Bobby/Sunday sometime ago, lest his dishonest, repetitive and patently canned spamming turn it into a propaganda forum for the mass murderers in Beijing, just this once I'd be glad to have Charlie/Bobby/Sunday explain his motivations.

That, and why he needs so many aliases!
