Bush's tax cuts for the non-wealthy

Economist and business blogger Dr. Jeff Cornwall points out that the same CBO numbers which have led the liberal media to trumpet the supposed shift of the tax burden from John Kerry's "richest one percent" to the middle class due to the Bush tax cuts also show something they aren't reporting: that proportionally, those same tax cuts have in fact shifted that burden off the backs of the middle class and the poor, and even more heavily onto the backs of the wealthiest twenty percent!

It is that wealthiest twenty percent, rather than the wealthiest one percent (as erroneously reported here earlier) who pay approximately ninety percent of the total Federal income taxes collected.

John Kerry and his friends in the media can play all the games they want to with the numbers, but the numbers still end up telling a different story than they do!
