Things are looking up for Dubyah

Things are looking up for the President. As TIME's Electoral College map shows, he's ahead of John Kerry right now.

On the popular vote front, the President has also opened up a wafer-thin lead in the Real Clear Politics poll average for both a three-way and a two-way race, and all but one recent poll has the President's approval rating over fifty percent.

Going into the Republican National Convention, it begins to appear that the corner may have been turned.
