An injustice persits

Ron Santo, one of the greatest third basemen ever to play the game of baseball (his numbers are better than most of the third basemen currently in the Hall of Fame) has once again fallen short of the number of votes needed to get him into the Hall via the Veterans' Committee route.

I don't know what's wrong with these retired ballplayers, but somebody should explain to them that electing a player who clearly deserves it to the Hall doesn't cheapen their own accomplishments just because it means one more peer.
