It's better to be good AND lucky

It's still an open question whether the Washington Nationals are good, lucky, or some combination of the two (though the likely percentage of luck diminishes as the season progresses and the Nats keep winning). In any event, Livan Hernandez has been preternatural.

But today's 4-3 Cub defeat is still disappointing- especially with Mark Prior on the mound.

Fortunately, we still have Wood and Zambrano to call upon in the remaining two games of the Series. It's good not to have two of our three best pitchers on the DL anymore.

For the moment.

Just being realistic. The history of the past two seasons, after all, does not encourage optimism!
