AHEM! Guess what?!
"Contrary to ongoing reports by mainstream media outlets, WMDs have been found in Iraq, so (sic) reports New York Times best-selling author Richard Miniter in his new book, Disinformation..."
The ongoing, largely unchallenged whopper that President Bush was wrong about Saddam's WMD's (or even "lied" about them- or, more often, "LIED!!!") has always seemed both amazing and ironic to me. Saddam admitted having those WMD's, and gave a detailed inventory, as part of the peace settlement for the first Gulf War. That agreement committed him to disposing with them under UN supervision within 90 days.
He didn't. In fact, he never disposed of them under UN supervision. He played games with the UN inspectors for twelve years, and for an extended period actually kicked them out of the country. In fact, huge quantities of WMD's there was never any doubt that Saddam had at the conclusion of the First Gulf War were never accounted for.
Seventeen UN resolutions required Saddam, not to have Hans Blix look around the country and satisfy himself that he didn't have those WMD's anymore, but to destroy them under UN supervision. And again... he never did.
A large percentage remain unaccounted for to this day.
In the weeks leading up to the current war, satellite reconnaissance showed huge numbers of trucks heading from Iraq into Syria and Lebanon. Mossad-- the Israeli intelligence agency-- reported from the outset that the trucks contained those missing WMD's.
WMD's have, in fact, been found- as described by the article linked to above- ever since the invasion. The liberal media have not only ignored that fact, but lied about it.
Yesterday, in Saddam's lair,
They found what they say wasn't there.
In fact, it was there all along-
But liberals don't admit they're wrong!

People who state that there never were any WMD's thereby demonstrate beyond doubt their total ignorance of the entire subject.
My own alternate scenario is simple: the
United Nations should have enforced those resolutions a decade or so ago. Otherwise, why pass them?
