Doesn't he realize what an embarassment to the cause of Christ statements like this are? And does he really think that it's even possible to "vote God out" of a city?

Dumb question. Of course he doesn't. His sense of such things is regrettably on the same level as his orthodoxy.

This is my favorite Robertsonism from that article:

"He has also said that feminism encourages women to 'kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.'"

Which of these 4 is not like the others?

If only all women would become lesbians, we would end abortion! Unless they conceived their children by black magic, to allow the practice of abortion to continue.

Robertson is the least intelligent tel-evangelist out there. Have you ever heard Jack Van Impie say stupid crap like this. No, No! He quotes Tertuallian to bolster his case for Chalvism. I just remember when Robertson predicted that Y2K would be the big thing which would bring about the end times and it of course didn't. It's like, why would you make that prediction. Even if you really really thought that you were right about it, why say it? If it turns out to be wrong, then your a laughing stock. Well, I suppose he's had that problem for a while.
