Howard Dean: Katrina Will Put GOP Out of Business

He's wrong.

Howard Dean will put the Democratic Party out of business.

Well, probably not. Somebody has to be the Party of the Opposition. Somebody has to be chronically ineffectual- and perennially wrong-
if only for the entertainment of the rest of us.

But Dean's capacity for irrational raving really doesn't help the Democrats. Neither does the irresistable impulse he and his fellow Democrats have to leak bile out of every pore, even at the least appropriate moments.

The next moment when Dean isn't partisan- appropriately or not- will be the first.
