ABC apologizes to Hyattsville

On last Thursday's "Commander-in-Chief," Hyattsville, Md.- a Washington suburb- was depicted as a violent place which had had "eleven homicides in the past six months."

In fact, it's had fewer than eleven homicides in the past ten years.

ABC has apologized, saying that it had, indeed, embellished the facts, since "our goal is not to document actual events, but to create characters and compelling stories for our viewers."

Maybe some people from the News Division were moonlighting by writing scripts for "Commander-in-Chief."
