Ozone layer said to be 'recovering'

Bad news for Al Gore and the environmental moonbats: as anguished shrieks about global warming become louder, the greenhouse effect is letting the side down.
The ozone layer is recovering.
Interestingly, though, even the story linked to above repeats the patent falsehood that greenhouse gases are primarily the result of human activity. Volcanic activity and other natural sources, including the evaporation of the oceans, emit huge quantities of the most common greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide. Natural sources account for virtually all of these gases.
On any showing, the human contribution is a drop in the bucket.
No measurements are available for the condition of the ozone layer during previous perfectly normal cyclical periods of global warming- some warmer than the recent one- before human-induced greenhouse gases became even the small factor they are. In any case, despite continued alarmism, the most recent period of global warming actually ended in 1998; the mean temperature of the planet has actually dropped slightly since that time.
