Vatican excommunicates four Chinese bishops

The Vatican has announced that, as provided by canon law, two newly-consecrated bishops in the Chinese state "Catholic" church and the two bishops who ordained them without papal sanction have incurred automatic excommunication.

However much I disagree with Rome's ecclesiology, it's always good to see Christians manifest integrity in the face of the world's attempts to re-define Christianity to fit its own agenda- whether the world takes the form of a tyrannical regime such as that in Bejing, or simply the average cultural pagan in the street.
