Saddam does another odd thing
Saddam Hussein's defense lawyer has been murdered by supporters of.... Saddam Hussein.
Saddam Hussein is on a hunger strike to protest this.
Or did Al Quaeda do it to stir up sectarian strife? But how would it do that?
Or is this an effort to score points with the American people by drawing as much attention as possible to the lack of safety in what is, after all, a war zone (a major talking point for the Fifth Column here in the states). But that seems a bit subtle. Remember, this is the guy who was threatened by the international community for twelve years with dire consequences if he didn't destroy his WMD's under UN supervision- and then apparently got rid of them secretly, when simply letting the UN watch while he destroyed them would have resulted in his still being dictator of Iraq today.
