Rest in peace, Jeane

Jeane Kirkpatrick, the former Democrat who was Ronald Reagan's ambassador to the United Nations, has died at 80.

The John Bolton of her day, the feisty Kirkpatrick took no nonsense from America's enemies and never left anyone in doubt where she stood.

She was an eloquent voice for freedom in a body which values it far less than it claims. May she rest in peace.
