Richardson tells a whopper in his new TV ad
Bill Richardson is running a new TV ad here in Iowa in which he makes the incredible statement that the one thing the Iraqis agree on is that they want us to leave.
This is especially disappointing because Richardson's foreign policy credentials are good enough that it's fairly safe to assume that he knows better. If the elected Iraqi government wanted us to leave, we would- and while the percentage of the Iraqi populace that wants us gone is rising, there is hardly a consensus to that effect!
Richardson seems to be pandering to the nuttiest strata of the Iowa's unusually extreme Left Democratic party, and playing fast and loose with the truth in so doing. A pity; I thought better of Bill Richardson.
