Kissinger defines geopolitical reality for Der Spiegel, the American electorate, and the world
Herein Henry Kissinger- the premier American geopolitician of the post-World War II era, and arguably the greatest geopolitician of my lifetime, regardless of nation- explains to the anti-American German magazine Der Speigel why the European attitude toward the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is a cop-out.
It is also an outstanding example of what happens when a principled conservatism confronts reality as it exists, as opposed to as we would like it to be.
I don't think it would be going too far to say that, just as ideological rigidity is a form of mental illness, Dr. Kissinger's take on the world we live in is about as pure a dose of sanity as we're likely to come across.
