Pelosi can't give up her dream of defeat in Iraq

Nancy Pelosi is so far out of touch with events in Iraq that she's still trying to peddle the notion that the triumph of our "surge" there hasn't completely transformed the situation.

The Democratic attachment for the concept of American defeat even in the face of the fact of burgenoning American success is one very sound reason why- especially with John McCain at the top of the GOP ticket- I have a hunch that the Democrats will be in for another gallingly frustrating presidential election this November.
