Palin?

There was a flurry of excitement yesterday when Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty abruptly left Denver, where he was one of the McCain campaign's designated responder to events at the Democratic Convention. Rumor had it that he was headed for Ohio to be named today as John McCain's running mate.

Not so. This morning Pawlenty said that it wouldn't be him. Neither, it seems, will it be former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

However, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin reportedly took a private jet from her home state last night, and landed in Cincinnati...

We'll know in a few hours, but I wouldn't bet against Obama-Biden being opposed by McCain-Palin.

ADDENDUM: Despite numerous Palin sightings in Ohio and the story reported on NPR minutes ago of her flight to Cincinnati, ABC is claiming that the Alaska governor is still in Alaska, and plans to attend the State Fair today.
