Pawlenty way ahead in the 2012 race for staff

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has snatched up much of the 2004 Bush-Cheney team, and has even made overtures to the younger staffers of his main rival for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, Mitt Romney.

Supposedly Pawlenty's weakness is a lack of organization and a fund raising base. But these are turning out to be strengths instead, and the Pawlenty campaign is further along organizationally than Romney's, Mike Huckabee's, or that of any of the other potential Republican candidate in 2012.

He's already making trips down here to Baja Minnesota, the site of the caucuses that will start the contest for the GOP nod.
