Peer review?

Those who wholeheartedly embrace the cause of anthropogenic global warming seek to disqualify studies which disagree with their preferred conclusions by complaining that they have not undergone sufficient "peer review."

But it seems that "peer review" in climatology now days is often simply an exercise in depriving those with unpopular viewpoints of the opportunity to be heard.
