Stevens, Ginsberg may be about to retire from the Supreme Court
Sources close to the Obama administration say that the president may be appointing two new Supreme Court justices in the near future.
Justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsberg are both expected to retire soon. Fortunately, this will simply be a matter of two relatively liberal justices- and Ginsberg is probably farther to the Left than any other member of the Court- being replaced by justices appointed by the most liberal president in our history.
The down side, of course, is one that any conservative who defected from the cause in 2008 should ponder: if John McCain had won, these two appointments would have been the ones which would have swung the Court decisively to the Right.
