Hello! Brady leads Quinn by ten in Illinois!

Less than two weeks after a Daily Kos poll showed Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn clobbering State Sen. Bill Brady, a new Rasmussen poll shows Republican Brady leading Democrat Quinn by ten points!

And this in deep blue Illinois, the home of President Obama!

The one variable: since then, Brady has been officially certified as the winner of the Republican gubernatorial primary over his colleague in the State Senate, Kirk Dillard, by 196 votes.

The more closely one looks at the numbers, the worse things look for Quinn- and the more one is forced to scratch one's head over the Daily Kos poll. The discrepancy also raises questions in my mind concerning that poll's finding that Democratic State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias leads Congressman Mark Kirk by a somewhat smaller margin in the race for President Obama's old Senate seat
