British commentator Nile Gardiner, commenting that "America is unquestionably a conservative country ideologically, but one that is ironically led by the most left-wing president in the nation’s history." thinks that, in view of the administration's poor record on the economy and President Obama's ongoing problem with those pesky poll numbers, Mr. Obama may be headed for "electoral disaster" next year.

Apparently the "chattering classes" of Albion are just as intoxicated with The One as our own are. But intoxication- as any state trooper will be glad, given the right circumstances to inform you- is apt to interfere with one's judgment.
