An alternative suggestion

Charles Krauthammer has a suggestion for an alternative Republican strategy on the debt crisis: while Obama postures, act.

Instead of playing chicken with the good faith and credit of the United Stated States government, he suggests, pass something in the House designed both to address the immediate impasse and take positive steps toward a long term solution with or without Administration help- and challenge POTUS commit to one actual change in the structure of at least one entitlement program instead of leaking stories about how he's prepared to consider this or that.

In other words, act like grownups. And leaders. Take the initiative- and let the Senate and the White House respond. Set the agenda, instead of letting Barack Obama set it for you.
