"Bride of Caesar?"

Ever since seminary (Wartburg was a far more solid and monolithic fortress of left-wing extremism than even Concordia- River Forest was of the right-wing kind), I've had to chuckle to myself whenever the Left lamely complained that whenever social conservatives raised moral issues in the arena of public policy they were somehow mixing church and state- while Christian leftists were simultaneously coming up with stuff like Jim Wallis's "Circle of Protection."
