Surprise!

Mitch McConnell says that Republicans and Democrats are "very close" to a deal to raise the debt limit and beat the deadline.

As I- and most people who pay attention to such things- kind of figured would happen.

There is a bit of drama, though: will the deal be long-term enough to convince Moody's and Standard and Poor's not to drop our Triple A national  credit rating?
