And the silence from the media is deafening

President Obama has congratulated the Miami "Heats" for winning the NBA championship.

As usual for this president- who seems at least as gaffe-prone as his predecessor- the jokes on Letterman and the snark on the nightly news are strangely absent.

I wonder why.
