Rasmussen: Romney-Ryan now leads in Wisconsin

According to the latest Rasmussen poll, the selection of Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan to be Mitt Romney's running-mate has pulled the Republican ahead of President Obama in Ryan's home state, Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is usually considered a safe Democratic state with highly "progressive" politics.

Unlike the other major polls, Rasmussen polls likely rather than merely registered voters. Since a greater percentage of Republicans than Democrats generally vote, this means results more favorable to Republican candidates than other polls. But it often also means results that more accurately reflect the actual voting.
