What's round on the ends and "IH" in the middle? Obama's spelling of "Ohio"

When Dan Quayle was the "celebrity judge" at a spelling bee, and was given an incorrect "correct" spelling of "potato" by spelling bee officials, Democrats iand the media ignored that fact and chortled hysterically., as if Quayle was the one who had made the mistake.They still haven't stopped.

I wonder what President Obama's excuse is for misspelling "Ohio," and I wonder whether t he people of that swing state will hold it against him.

Or whether the media will even report this latest in the never-ending series of gaffes by the president who is so well protected by his allies in the media. Once again, we are forced to wonder at their reaction of George W. Bush had pulled this boner.

When a Republican sticks his foot in his mouth, it is indelibly engraved, it seems, on the cultural memory. But when a Democrat- and especially The One- does the same, for some reason nobody ever hears about it.
