Chick-fil-A: Trying to have it both ways?

I reported last week on the claim by Chicago's First Ward alderman, Joe Morino, that Chick-fil-A had agreed not to fund groups that oppose same-sex "marriage" in the future. Morino decided, on the basis of that concession, to OK plans for the chain to build restaurants in Chicago after all.

But no Chick-fil-A is denying that it has in any way "changed our policy," and would continue to support groups that work to strengthen the institution of marriage. Thing is, the statement is worded in such a way as to avoid saying that the company would continue to fund groups that oppose same-sex "marriage."

So... has Chick-fil-A turned chicken, or not? Clarification from Dan Cathy is required here.
