Poor John McCain riles the wingnuts yet again
John McCain is no stranger to fire from the Right for talking sense. He's experiencing more.
He's pointed out that for a Muslim to shout "Allahu akbar!" ("God is the greatest!") is no different from a Christian shouting, "Thank God!"
In other words, the Muslim phrase is in itself no more tainted when fanatical Muslims use it to celebrate terrible things any than the blasphemous use of the Christian phrase when, say, Ronald Reagan died makes everybody who says "Thank God!" an intolerant moonbat.
Not to say, of course, that the wingnuts will acknowledge that fact.
