Where St. Peter is concerned, the media should distinguish between dogma and history

The media keep telling us that St. Peter was the first pope. But that's legend and sectarian dogma, not history.

And as to those bones Pope Francis publicly cuddled a few weeks ago, it's far from certain that they're his, either.
