Anti-totalitarian backlash drives down support for gay "marriage"

A new Pew poll shows both growing support for a role for religion in politics and a five-point drop in support for same-sex "marriage" since February.

Maggie Gallagher of National Review has a hunch why, and I think she's right: the heavy-handed tactics of Leftist totalitarians in seeking to suppress rather than refute opponents of marriage redefinition has left a bad taste in the mouth of freedom-loving Americans, and a backlash is setting in.

The incidents involving Brenden Eich, Chick-fil-A, Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson, and all the other victims of Leftist intolerance are beginning to turn our stomachs. And it's about time.
