The Commissar's back in town, uh-oh!

Last time I posted something like that, the post was a tongue-in-cheek reference to a Hillary Clinton visit to Des Moines.

But this time, it's for real: the Left Party- successor of the old East German Communist Party- has won control of the state parliament of Thuringia.

The worst of it is that they would not have come to form the government without the help of their coalition partners: Social Democrats and Greens. It says something about Social Dems and Greens. Berthold Brecht put it well in the song of the calves:
Nur die dümmsten Kälber
wählen ihre Metzger selber.

Only the most stupid calves
choose their own butcher.
