Is it any wonder people are uncomfortable with our public schools?
I had just finished a brief Facebook debate over teachers' unions when I came across this.
Check it out: a philosopher comes to grips with the moral relativism being pushed in our schools-- and comes to grips with it in The New York Times, yet!
While a great many people seem to be ignorant of this fact (and I use the term advisedly), things which cannot be proven may nonetheless be true. I refusal to recognize this leads not simply to shallow materialism, but to intellectual arrogance and an inability to think logically.
