Maybe they're right this time
I am not a climate change denier- though I have my doubts about the degree to which it's anthropogenic and likely to be catastrophic.
However, I remember this meme. According to the scientific consensus back then, we were all doomed because of climate change.
The problem was global cooling. We were all going to freeze to death. In fact, I remember discussing the coming ice age in class during high school.
I graduated in 1968, and I seem to remember that the discussion took place in my sophomore year.
