The assault on orthodox Christianity begins
Remember the early days of the movement to redefine marriage, when we were assured that those advocating a change would "never" move to limit the right of churches to follow their own teachings with regard to the nature of marriage and sexual ethics?
Well, it was a lie.
The assault is beginning. It will continue until freedom of religion is history, and any voice suggesting that there is anything morally objectionable about sodomy is silenced.
Interestingly, the ACLU- which spent much of June circulating petitions against state laws virtually identical to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, (which it supported!) now says that it will become consistent and oppose the RFRA, too.
The only reason the state laws were introduced is because SCOTUS had ruled that while the Federal law was valid and constitutional as regards Federal law, but not with regard to state law.
