Jeb, Graham and Romney make the right call

When Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush promised to support the Republican nominee, they understandably- though wrongly- assumed that the Republican nominee would be a Republican.

I congratulate them on breaking a promise requested of them under false pretenses. I only wish that one of them- or maybe Mitt Romney- would take up the challenge and run as an independent.

The irony, of course, is that when the candidates were asked during the first debate whether any of them would not promise to support the nominee, one hand was raised: Donald Trump's.
