It's late in the game, but not too late to get a third option on the ballot. Let's face it: the bar is low when it comes to getting a better option than Hillary and Il Duce. Almost any honorable, intelligent and competent American 35 or older would do.
I cannot- will not- believe that Bill Kristol, Sen. Sasse and the others working to give decent Americans an alternative to the two indecent choices before us will fail to find such a person. The death of the Republican party and the moral and intellectual vacuity of the Democrats has resulted in one of those historic moments where real change is possible. A principled, competent conservative willing to take the heat at probably face the end of his or her political career- certainly as a Republican- might even have a long-shot chance of winning. At the very least, he or she can send a message that the sane and decent voters of this country will not stand for being disenfranchised by the lunacy of a plurality of Republican primary voters and the ideological radicalism of the Democrats.
Stand fast. Don't cave in. The sane and decent members of the Republican party and the Democratic party and no party at all need not submit meekly to a choice between two unthinkable options.
