Courting distrust
John Daniel Davidson of The Federalist here documents the continuing deterioration of the Supreme Court's and thus the Federal judiciary's reputation among Americans from being that of most trusted branch of the Federal government to that of an ideologically-driven partisan entity fighting the Culture Wars on behalf of the Left.
And given the transparently dubious logic of decisions ranging from Roe v. Wade to Cruzan v. Director to Obergefell v. Hodges to Whole Women's Health v. Hellerstedt, the Court's current and unprecedented 50% disapproval rating among the American people should be no surprise to anybody.
