Hello, Dalai Lama! Common sense on immigration from the Buddhist leader

Guess who thinks there are "too many refugees in Europe?"

The Dalai Lama.

Stating that "Europe, for example,Germany cannot be an Arab country," His Holiness observed that "Germany is Germany. There are so many that it becomes difficult."

The Dalai Lama still supports the presence of refugees in Europe but emphasizes that this should be viewed as a temporary measure and that the goal must be to return them to their own countries.

Sounds to me like an admirable combination of compassion and common sense. Would that more Christian leaders would go and do likewise. In our own country, I've always believed that the best way to stem the tide of refugees from Mexico is not to build a wall (which, of course, Donald Trump will never do even in the unlikely event that he's elected president), but to invest in Mexico and do everything possible to create incentives for Mexicans to say there.

Now that is a conservative solution!
