Trump's ambassador to Israel is another...um...INTERESING one
Donald Trump's appointment of David Friedman as Ambassador to Israel shows a strong commitment to Israel, and that's good.
That Friedman once called Jews who are more dovish toward the Arabs than he is "worse than kapos," however, shows all too clearly how much he has in common with Trump and the rest of the alt-right.
"Kapos," for the uninitiated, were Jewish concentration camp inmates given special privileges for ratting on and abusing fellow prisoners. The Friedman appointment is yet another signal of the extreme and intolerant nature of the administration that will take over next month.
Those urging that we "give President Trump a chance" or the benefit of what by now is a non-existent doubt are looking sillier by the day. Trump has been clear as glass about what he was and how he would govern ever since his bizarre and intolerant campaign began.
