I am a confessional Lutheran. I recognize that I am a forgiven sinner whose only righteousness is Jesus Christ, that I am often wrong- but that I need to follow my conscience until I'm shown that I am. I am politically independent. I am cheerfully quirky. I am a maverick who very deliberately lives outside both of our two American echo chambers. I think for myself, and regret that so few of us do these days.
...if people on both sides of the Kavanaugh affair admitted that their positions on the Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation and on the charges against him are based on partisanship and not on the evidence or on anything more noble or exalted than a desire to have a Supreme Court that agrees with them?
