Trump in a nutshell

Our narcissistic, the-world-is-picking-on-me-even-though-it-really-owes-me-constant-and-uncritical-admiration president thinks that Rep. Debbie Dingle (D-Mich) is "ungrateful" to him for ordering the flag to be flown at half-mast for her late husband Charles, who served his country in Congress for many years. Why? She voted for impeachment.

Rep. Dingle: "My husband is looking down from heaven and smiling."

POTUS: "Maybe he's looking up."

Even his partisans at the rally in Michigan where he delivered that jaw-dropping line groaned. There, in a nutshell, is why Christianity Today has (belatedly) decided that "evangelical" support of him is a poor witness and not necessarily conducive to the advancement of the agenda of the Kingdom of God.

And it's why those of us who have been paying attention, and who care about such things, are concerned that Mr. Trump not only is a man of poor judgment but a mean-spirited bully and not a particularly healthy man psychologically.

Some of us think that these are bad things in a president.  Those who think that being an insensitive jerk is synonymous with being a "strong leader" will, of course, disagree.
