Crap.

 

Lindsey Graham has been re-elected. And while it's far too early to panic, three things are clear.

Clearly, 1) Trumpism is with us to say, and the GOP is lost.

2) There has been another major polling error, and there IS such a thing as a "shy Trump voter."

3) We are a nation that largely votes from our limbic systems rather than our prefrontal cortex.

This is a nation that's a great deal sicker than I thought, and maybe terminal, at least as a liberal democracy.

No matter what the outcome, this is a nation in deadly danger.
