A mother dies so that her unborn child might live

Lorrie Allard, a 33 year-old British woman, learned that she had late-stage cancer when she was four months pregant.

She lost her life after delaying treatment until her son, Liam, could be safely delivered by caesarian.

"If I am going to die, my baby is going to live," she said.
