The Democrats are risng from their graves... and they're HUNGRY for victory....

Barack Obama's campaign denies that he ever was an organizer or trainer for radical leftist group ACORN. Parenthetically, in the process of making that denial, Obama's "Stop the Smears" website resurrects a long discredited smear against former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, claimed by Democratic sore losers to have somehow rigged the 2004 presidential election in that state.

2004, ironically is precisely the year in which an independent study was undertaken which conclusively demonstated that, at least that year, Democrats were far more likely to commit vote fraud than were Republicans!

ACORN's Toni Foulkes, it seems, disagrees with Obama's denial. The radical activist portrays Obama has having been very active indeed in training and other activities for the group. Once again, considerable room for doubt exists about the complete truthfulness of Obama's "anti-smear" campaign! But whoever is right, ACORN voter registration drives have apparently resulted in dead people-voters generally welcome on the election rolls of Obama's home town and mine, Chicago, but not elsewhere- being enrolled in large numbers this year in precisely Ohio.

And Texas.

And Michigan.

And Indiana.

And Connecticut.

The list keeps growing. Now, nobody is suggesting that Obama is personally implicated in these shenannigans. But does anybody seriously think that even John McCain's advanced age is going to make him the favorite son recipient of the votes of these particular dead people? Who, pray tell, will be the beneficiary of these efforts at political activism among the deceased? Who is intented to benefit?

Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000 largely because the Bush vote was suppressed nationally by the networks' decision to continue to report an erroneous result in Florida- which everybody knew was going to decide the election- for several hours after it was clear that the returns there were skewed in Gore's favor. While monkey shines doubtless took place on both sides in Florida in 2000, the counties in which Democrats complained about the results were exclusively counties in which the election officials were Democrats- and in which Republican Secretary of State Katherine Harris nor Gov. Jeb Bush had absolutely no influence over either the conduct of the election or the count.

At least one professional vote thief specializing in manual recounts of punchcard elections- a Democrat- reported for duty in Florida, bragging that he could steal any election in which his candidate trailed by fewer than a hundred votes just by handling the ballot cards expertly and often. Not a single case of a Democratic voter being denied the vote was ever documented, though a Republican precinct in a predominantly Cuban neighborhood was forced to close down by Democratic goons. The liberal Supreme Court of Florida (SCOFLA) effectively authorized the imagination of Democratic election officials as a valid determiner of voter intent where no clear indication of that intent had in fact been given by the voter. Absentee military ballots -specifically exempted by state law from the requirement that they be postmarked- were arbitrarily disqualified, and were finally counted by Democratic officials only after the courts ordered it. Felons (a voter population as Democratic as the military is Republican) illegally allowed to cast ballots.

Yes, the Democrats tried hard to steal Florida and the presidency in 2000. Yet George W. Bush won every recount ever conducted by the rules the Democrats had wanted applied to the votes- and even now, the sore losers remain sore losers. An hysterical Democrat almost melted down before my very eyes at a party a few weeks ago insisting that it was PROVEN that Bush had stolen Florida and the election, and could not be induced to chill even by his fellow McGovernites.

Of course, as demonstrated by the article linked to above, the charge of (Republican) fraud in Ohio in 2004 was also groundless whine from the git go, and even more insubstantial than the Democrats' fantasy about Florida in 2000.

And now.... this.

I've always been fond of the Yiddish word chutzpah, classically defined as that quality displayed by a man who murders both of his parents and then pleads for mercy on the ground that he's an orphan.

Or a Chicago Democrat complaining about alleged Republican vote fraud.

And they're at it again- doing what they do best.
